WHAT WE DO
The AfricanTide Association is a dynamic diaspora-led association that bridges Africa and Europe through innovation, collaboration, and community empowerment. First established in 2007 in Dortmund, Germany, the Association was founded on the belief that the African diaspora holds a vital role in shaping sustainable development both within Europe and across the African continent.
From the beginning, our mission has been to create pathways for integration and intercultural understanding, ensuring that migrants and their families not only adapt successfully in new environments but also preserve and celebrate their cultural heritage. Over the years, AfricanTide Association has become a hub for education, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement, offering practical programmes that strengthen both individuals and communities.
We actively promote good governance by encouraging transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership. Through youth-focused initiatives, we equip the next generation with leadership training, critical thinking skills, and mentorship opportunities that prepare them to contribute meaningfully to governance and development.
Our economic empowerment programmes provide entrepreneurial support, capacity-building workshops, and networking opportunities that connect emerging innovators with experienced professionals and markets across continents. At the same time, our social support projects including cultural dialogues, integration programmes, and community events help to break down barriers and foster stronger, more resilient societies.
